Geez – I’m a mess in these photos! I’m blaming the drinks from brunch, but I wonder if maybe my style just has an element of messy in it. I don’t really iron as much as I should, I’ve pretty much given up on my hair ever sitting right. Messy isn’t terrible. Ah well.

I really like these plaid pants, I’ve debated hemming them but keep taking them off of the ‘to do’ pile, I guess when I want them shorter I can just fold them under as needed.

The pitch on these boots is kind of extreme, so they are mostly a sit down shoe. I don’t know what the deal is with the pouf thing on the back, but I figured I should wear them as they came at least once. Though now that I have, I’m going to chop the pouf off – what is that thing? It’s like I should be able to open it up and inside is a rain hood to protect the shoes.

I wore this to drop off some shoes for Vibram resoling in NYC. This was the first outing for my DIY Crayola jeans and while they looked pretty awesome in person (the lighting is a little dark in these photos for the colour to really pop) I found that not being able to properly set the colour was really an issue. The part of my upper thigh where my jacket rests and rubs is now pretty devoid of striping! And I’m pretty sure I couldn’t put these in the laundry.

I definitely want to try it again with the right materials.

I wore this a bit ago when I went with my mom to her seniors’ dance. I was not the girl at the dance showing the most leg. Not by a long shot.

I wore this to the Balanchine: Black and White ballet. The David H. Koch is the coldest theatre I go to. It’s freezing in there all year round, which is awkward in warmer weather. I have to walk carrying my jacket and then bundle up when I arrive.

I always look grumpy in pictures I take with the self timer. If someone else is taking the picture I’m all smiles, but if it’s just me, wondering when the camera is going to click … oh well, looking reasonably human will have to suffice.
